Have you submitted that Sophia picture to POW?
You should!
🥰
I think so, I love that photo and I am so glad she was able to be a mama, she’s 7 this year and I am a bit worried about her. Since last yrs bout of ascitis I have been worried about her health.

Hello! Yes, new. Also battling insomnia. We’re in Sweden (family wedding) and the birds have been singing since 2 am, which doesn’t help.
Wow yes that is quite the time difference for you, and yep the ‘midnight’ sun sure wouldn’t help.

What a fabulous trip though!

I miss my chickens though. <<< Something I never thought I would say! 😁

I know the feeling, I used to work away from home for weeks or months at a time, I would miss my horses and chooks. But I have barn cams so I could yell at them when they were bad.

Of course after a while they would just ignore the disembodied voice 😁

Some fancy topknots

Clyde the Brave
Hahaha I love those long blonde streamers on his head

Patches, she is one of the Peavey Mart mystery chicks from last year, I have no idea what she is but she has a cute little topknot. She lays brown eggs, likely one of Hoover Hatcheries hybrid hens.

Ok well back to riding the beast, aka the lawn tractor, catch you all later.

Well they have rooster Bob and maybe Hattie to help them. We will get the job done.
They do, you are also an experienced Rooster with Hattie and Mrs Bob as support I have no doubt all will be well.
Yes, they will jump on top and rest there, and run in and out of the doorways. You can make new configurations of them to keep it interesting, like two boxes with the doorways lined up - somebody found something, so they were playing keep away, and she ran through the “hallways” making a turn or not - hard to tell which door they were going to come out of!
The boxes also make great hidey-holes for when something startles them, which I had forgotten to provide intentionally!
This gave me an idea for Rues recovery down the road. At the moment everything is completely flat of course. Food and water are able to be accessed even if she lays down to do eat or drink.

If she continues her slow recovery though maybe I can make a few things her to start to hop up on ect. Something to keep in mind, ty!

The Integration is in Full Swing

The fence has been down most of the day.

Aurora and Aster again went into the Cluckle Hut and "checked it out".

Lady Featherington jumped them twice so far. No one else has really bothered with them.

I got this family portrait when I broke out the blueberries.

The groups are not mixing at all.

After the second attack from Lady Featherington they have resorted to camouflage.

Its going to rain soon so I am hanging out with them waiting for the rain to make sure they get to cover safely.

Synopsis for Fluffy Butt Acres to June 28th

Thank you @knoturavggrl for the synopsis from last week

It has been a big week at FBA.

First of all our beloved Hattie gave @BY Bob a big scare she recovered quickly under Bob's tender care. But she was soon in trouble with Aurora so Bob got her some new roommates, and they seem happy together.
:love
The heat wave prompted some home improvements, and during the day she got to hang out and watch TV with a buddy.
Hattie is feeling much better (and particularly beautiful!), and is getting chilled treats, and taking advantage of some breeze.

Once the weather cooled FBA started the drama of integration!
STOP THE PRESSES - an update from this weekend.

***

@notabitail
Once again deserves our sympathy. That one so young should be so muddled about the days of the week is just very sad.
***

@RebeccaBoyd
Shared pictures of babies!! :love:love
And gave us a terrifying update on Gryffyn.
***

@SimpleJenn
Showed us a range of different types of comb and crest.
Marble is moving on to his next home.
Sadly Breazy had some heart issues. His comb started turning purple, and unfortunately he did not survive the heat wave.
Rest in peace Breazy.
Meanwhile, Nosy Posy! :gig
