Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement.![]()
Great news! So glad everyone's back home and doing well. Glad for a happy ending for a change.Oh, and my hen Amelia is doing very well. She is happily running around with the flock, eating, drinking, and doing chickeny things. If she wasn’t missing half her tail, you would never guess anything had happened. I’ll bring her inside in a little while to clean her wound again, but it looks like she will be just fine.
I still need to bring the little guy in for a full checkup but he seems fine. Dancing and tidbitting like always. Just missin a couple tail feathers.
I feel very lucky!Great news! So glad everyone's back home and doing well. Glad for a happy ending for a change.
yepI am sure most of us have seen this. It is concerning to me since it affects ALL types of birds. Including wild birds......that migrate.

yep
I feel for those in the area they are euthanizing the flocks ... even the ones that tested clean
you know people are going to run with their babies and spread it.
It's just scary.
No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
yeah you have a right to be worriedSomeone did and spread it to Utah. That is just a mountain range west of me.
Not a far journey for migrating birds.
I do believe that the state is compensating for the birds. Probably at $3 each.
