You know I was not upset by that. I imagine insects might grow faster as well. Chickens grow very fast compared to other animals that humans regularly eat planet wide.
 
Except DUCKS! Regular ducks grow to 'almost' adult size in 6 weeks (like gangly teenager size). They grow SUPER fast in the first 4 weeks....but then take their time to finish filling out. So, cornish X are still faster to processing....but if I am raising chicks & ducklings at the 'same' time, I get the chicks 3-4 weeks sooner or the ducks grow so fast they will trample them! :eek:
