Now I wish I had a rooster. Or that Abigail would do that. One sleepy rooster, just having a comfortable napView attachment 3481745
The Cluckle Hut ramp is steeper than the Main Coop ramp? I am not informed as I’d like to be for what is going on, but like to think about these things - -Sydney would not be moved. She was absolutely frantic. I am wondering if I will be able to move Phyllis when the time comes (if it comes). I should have tried previously. My first thawing was that I want her to hatch in the Cluckle Hut. What I want is not what she may give me.
Thinking about Gucci and that ramp. Maybe I don't want her in the Cluckle Hut after all.
Well there is time to make any decision.
Whatever you do think about raccoon hands, how deft they are at getting into things! There is a hook and eye latch: one to keep it shut and 1 to keep it open. There isn't that spring thing to keep the hook secured though. I'd been pondering ways to do that. I'm going to have to check those out (after looking more closely at the current set up for modification points.
The hook to keep it open is actually a black rubber bungee cord with the hook on one end replaced with some heavy wire, making a hook about 2 inches long. Somehow they're getting that out of the tiny little eye on the door..... hmmm....maybe I can contrive another piece that slides onto the hook after it goes through the eye.
Very!Whatever you do think about raccoon hands, how deft they are at getting into things!

Rebecca had a close call when one of her horses 'Dirt' covered Gryffyn's nest with hay, the eggs became cool worrying her that they might not survive. She candled them though and seems that 2 never developed and the remaining 2 seem good to go.

Rebecca is still trying to catch that big ol' coyote.
And now it's time for Hatch Watch - those eggs under Gryffyn will be hatching.

Well, that's better than making a bonnet.I have been pondering the bald patch issue. I looked in the yarn bag to see if anything would go with Babs’ coloring. I thought I could use Velcro as the quick release mechanism.
Then I got to thinking about your advice and instead of making the bonnet I got one of these.
And then because it is Tuesday I also got these.
Yup I did it. I went on a road trip and came back with five chicks. They hatched while I was overseas last week and have been waiting for me. They are 8 days old.
We only just got home and already I am smitten.
