I wonder if they were kept in cages without any bedding - that could cause problems.Okay, I’ll do that tomorrow. The other EE also has a bit of those small abrasions on her feet.
It is odd. I told my parents and they were wondering how a chick would get bumble foot. Very odd indeed.
I didn’t really expect him to get them, so I wasn’t able to ask him to look over them. Thank you, that means a lot. I’m also glad that they got me. First thing I did when I met them was check their bums!
Glad the wee one seems to be on the mend.Quartz update.
Took Sherlock for a walk, then to "help" feed he chooks breakfast. Sitting and watching is coming. Working on NOT jumping when they fly, run, squawk, and otherwise move suddenly.
Quartz has been out with Mama. Limp is still present, but much less pronounced. Whole lot is firmly in the stare down spat phase. Q perfectly willing to be in the midst of that. Storm still plenty protective of the littles. Still no signs of comb/wattles on any but Granite.
Sherlock was busy digging in the dirt during the baby spats.
Haven't been able to confirm Pear as Queen yet, either.
Aiming for more fresh pics across the day
Thanks ever so much - I very much appreciated catching upFBA chicken Synopsis

Have a nice week end to all. And a reminder that you can subscribe to getting a PM alert when the synopsis is posted by sending a PM to royal chick!
Nearly 20 weeks.Gosh she’s a beauty
How old is she now?
Soon maybe laying eggs then. I suspect Tippy will start soon also.Nearly 20 weeks.
Wow - that seems old!!
I don’t think that they really looked at them. They were fed and watered well, bedding clean. I’m not quite sure that all of the people who work there know much about chickens. Unfortunate, but I suppose I can understand.Someone needs to have a word with that store on their animal handling. That is horrible.
Not at TSC. But maybe during shipping she cut herself?I wonder if they were kept in cages without any bedding - that could cause problems.
Same here. I now have extra time because they all go to bed. Very convenient. The chooks are starting to go to bed earlier now. They’re on their perches by 7:00 pm . Usually they stay out until 7:45 to 8:00 pm.
(Gives me an extra half hour ha! )
