That is such a perfect example of the killers they are. I am only confused as to why you did not let them sake their blood lust and complete the kill?

Having watched them actively hunt a chipmunk as a collective brings to mind the velociraptors of jurassic park. They are vicious if they need to be.

Yep I too have seen mine stalking birds and squirrels. They are smart little dragons!

Miserable miserable miserable out there, had a few hrs of the rain letting up a bit, the chooks were in and out during that time. But it started really pouring again so they all ran back inside.

Of course they were all soaked, I put the heat lamp on to help them warm up, and dry off.

The horses can come in also in an hr - no sense bringing them in early Truly will just trash her stall.

Thankfully it’s just rain and not the freezing rain they called for.

Clyde dried off pretty fast!

No way is Missy going out she informed me! She doesn’t do rain.

Do hens babysit (or egg sit) for each other?
Tassels just went tearing back to her nest after my forced outing. She saw Piglet in the nest (laying an egg I assume) and turned around and came back out for some more self-care.

Congratulations on your new chicks!

I finally counted seven chicks.
I have them all in the house now including Nacho ( I’m renting her temporarily) payback for the feeding of the first batch of babies I raised for the neighbor.

Yes I guess. The chicks are a day old now, and I saw no pips or movement of the three
