I use Firefox and DuckDuckGo, but I'm seeing the ads on this site. They are not "targeted", they are pretty random.
That's weird... I wonder if I changed a setting? If I did, I no longer recall doing so.

At least the ads aren't targetted. That's one good thing.

Although... I wonder how fast the AI can figure out your profile and start giving you what you like. Should be a few hours I reckon, maybe a day tops.

I get both targeted and un-targeted ads - but they don't jump out at me or get in the middle of individual posts - so I honestly tune them out - wasn't until you all started talking about it that I really remembered there is some random ad stuff going on to the right of where I am typing. Some fashion clothing brand which is clearly not targeted as I have been wearing the same jeans and top for a decade.

I'm just taking a moment to acknowledge and salute your fashion choices.

They said that they are working on that ad's thing, and to give it a day or so.

People here don't think I ever change my clothes. What they don't realise is when I bought the clothes I wear day to day I bought 3 pairs/units. It helps with the chickens strangely enough. I'm not changing my feathers every five minutes.:D

I have a friend who has five of the same outfit. He found a look that works for him, now he sticks to it. He told me Einstein had the same system!

I can't say the same, I love colour and patterns and variety, but I'm careful to purchase from stores with ethical supply chains.

It's the duckduckgo browser and I'm using it on my phone. On my laptop I use Firefox which is also good at blocking ads

I'm a bit of a rebel and I feel that blocking ads gives me greater peace of mind and freedom from thinking about stuff I don't need.
I use an add blocker too.
