We as a whole team, are doing good. We have Deana, the safety chicken, and Jaffar, the emotional support rooster!Deana the safety chicken approves of this idea.
Just look at that fabulous tail! What breed is she?
She's a black Japanese bantam. I have a splash, a black tailed white & a birchen as well. They are gorgeous little chickens; true bantams, & have lovely dispositions.Just look at that fabulous tail! What breed is she?
It's true the chooks wake up to a sea view but the beach is @ the bottom of a really steep hill & more mud & mangrove than rather coarse sand but it is all ours, very seculded & quiet. Her house is literally about a dozen steps to the seashe posts amazing views on her thread and her chooks wake up to a sea view every morning.
I usually pipe up and say the beach is only 5 minutes walk from my house, but that doesn't carry much appeal in a discussion @Ribh might see![]()
I did, but for the sake of japes, I decided to pretend I didn't.You do remember we are more mud & mangrove than actual sand?

I forgot to list the calcium and D3 that's in the yogurt balls: two level teaspoons of ground up calcium citrate and D3 and calcium carbonate. It's a total of about 2200 mgs of calcium total. Divided by four chickens if they ate equally that's 550 mgs of calcium each.Oh Peanut
I like the yogurt ball approach you've mentioned. Will make a batch this weekend (low on Fage here...)
