Man, alot of ppl find it silly when I mourn over my chickens, but one death really hurt me alot. It was this blind hen that I had for 10 years. I spent on avg probably 1-2 hours a day helping her stay healthy and making sure she was able to eat and drink, but just like all life, she eventually passed away despite all my efforts. It really bothered me for awhile but I eventually figured out the best medicine for that is to get more chickens! Lol
I mourn mine, too. I think all of us on this thread would. The ones you spend a lot of time with nursing are the most difficult losses I have found.

The pellets are very compressed and when they get wet they basically absorb the water and disintegrate. Wood shavings are great, but these pellets are sort of magical in their ability to absorb moisture. I use them as cat litter and the pan they are in never gets wet it just fills with sawdust.

I tried to blow out the egg, but it broke. I did get a tiny omlet.

And this keeps happening every night.

They're really good with sausage gravy
Oh I really LOVE Scotch eggs but I only ever had store bought. I think I assumed there were machines injecting egg inside (I don’t suppose ibthought about it much!).
I am so excited you can make them at home.
But the peeling a soft boiled egg part is indeed daunting. Could you use a partially poached egg instead? Would give a strange shape to the Scotch egg but that could be fun.
