We unfortunately have no vets here, or that im aware of anyway. ive been givin vitamins, electrolytes and all that. I appreciate everyones help. She seems a bit better, but still not great. Thank you.
You can probably get Corid (which I believe is Amprolium) at the feed store and that is what most people seem to use for treatment.

Hi folks. Ester is at the (emergency) avian vet. A different avian vet from the one who treated Ruby is going to examine her quickly before the regular avian vet arrives, at which time, they will jump into surgery. From my perspective, she is declining. I’ll let you know what they say, but suspect I’ll be going home without her today. 😔
I hope I read some good news further on. :hugs :hugs

I took the allotment chicken stories and pictures out of Bob's thread and made my own thread partly out of consideration for Bob and those who post here.
This one of the reasons I started my own thread too. The other reason is that it's very handy to have their stories all in one thread in case I have to go back and check something.

They’re going to pull off some fluid and do a quick standing x-ray to look for anything obvious and we’ll go from there.

They mentioned that if her crop isn’t moving, oral antibiotics are likely not going anywhere, either. They offered for me to leave her overnight, where they can do crop flushing and feeding etc. etc. But I’m not inclined to do that.
Are you intending to do crop flushing yourself?

i dont think ill be here for a while. I apologize. Im feeling absolutely disgusted with myself, a chick i own (and probably all my others) im confident has coccidiosis, and i waited to long, thinking it was some other issue. I apologize again. i was very ignorant to think she was alright. Sorry to bring it into a gloomy setting.
I understand how that can happen and why you might not be around for a while. :hugs :hugs We can only do our best and we are sadly not infallible.
