I'm not sure if this is the thread or not myself but she fascinates me. Her legs are better. Do you think you will ever fix them all the way?I was writting about Knocks leg problems earlier in this, or maybe it was another thread.
I mentioned that one of the lumps had fallen off. This picture shows the one that's left. It also gives some idea of what a terrible state her legs are and it's not from my lack of trying. They have improved considerably over the last couple of weeks.

LOL you'll have to add some led strip lighting to the rungsNight walker
I think this is Elizabeth (a tad difficult to tell in the dark) and it is well before dawn. The poor girl can't see the rungs of her ladder and it is too steep. They run up and down it all day long and have no problem but I think I need to rethink its design if she is going to be stumbling about in the dark a lot.
When she gets to the bottom she just stands there. Presumably because it is still too dark to see what else to do!
You can run a new line ( I usually cut the end off an extension cord) or clip the european end and reterminateThe Details Count
So I managed to get mt hands on the fabulous work of art that is also a lamp. After much discussion and actual purchase of new furniture and rearranging of the living room, Mrs BY Bob and myself agreed on a place to showcase it. I went to plug it in today and realized this.

I created four boxes and they (9) all use just one . Go figure ..Nest Backups
This morning's egg laying was another fiasco for a while. First of all, Sydney is back laying eggs again. So now I have 5 layers again. I have built 4 nest boxes for 5 layers. You would think i was set.
I watched all morning as Sydney tried to find a place to lay her eggs. She even checked out my new nest box in the run. Finally she settled on a spot.
That's right, she pushed Phyllis out of the nest she had carefully created. Phyllis complained for like 20 minutes. Then the natural solution occurred.

While this was going on, Sydney left the chicks in my care. At first they say on the chair next to me and slept. Then they hopped down for a little scratching and leftover corn. Then they tucked themselves away under my chair.

While Sydney and Phyllis were laying, Aurora and Sansa were as well. Those 2 used the coop nest boxes. Now this i cannot explain but most of the time everyone was laying, Hattie stood here in the connector. From here she could watch both the big run where Phyllis and Sydney were and the entrance to the coop where Aurora and Sansa were. Was she standing sentinel while they laid?

To say it was an interesting morning is to not truly appreciate how chaotic things were for a while. It has not been a full month since the hatch and Sydney is laying eggs again. Amazing.
I'm going to chime in on the Scotch discussion too. I had a lovely single malt a few years back when there was a little more spending money (before I took on the big, old slightly decrepit house). I think it was Islay. At present I only have blends on the bar and they're so unappetizing after the Islay I'll probably never finish themDon't worry - you are not that strange. The US is now the biggest export market for Single Malt Scotch. I think it used to be Japan but they now apparently make their own and I hear it is very good (not tried yet). I am working my way through a 25-year Glenmorangie which is very good.
Isn't it!That is an awesome fluffy butt!![]()
I love that idea! They could be solar and charge up during the day. Although since that one night she hasn't been getting up in the night. And I have watched them in the day and they find the ladder perfectly comfortable. So I am leaving it be for now - though LED strips is almost irresistible. I mean, it is a palace after all!LOL you'll have to add some led strip lighting to the rungs
I always say that mine land like canon balls. THUMP!Mine always seem like they are doing crash landings LOL
