That's what I saw Lozzy. They don't have feathered feet but I don't see feathering ~ even with my glasses on
I'm so glad your girl is doing ok.![]()

It’s a barred Cochin. They have feathered feet.
I had two, but they went to the rainbow bridge.
I can't play - my knowledge of chicken breeds is limited to:
- Leghorns (because of you)
- Legbars (because of all of you)
- Campines (because of @Ribh)
- Naked necks (because of @WhoDatChick and Trump, obviously)
- Rhode Island Reds (because of the vet who explained that Maggie was bred in order to die young)
- Bitsas (because of @MaryJanet and @Shadrach)
I think that is all I could have a shot at recognizing with the exception of the Bitsas which would just have to be my default guess for all other chickens. I will keep trying to learn!

What do you mean RIR's are bred to die young? I never heard that before.Rhode Island Reds (because of the vet who explained that Maggie was bred in order to die young)
Maybe you’re thinking of ISA BROWNS. They are bred to lay a million eggs and burnout by the time they are two. What do you mean RIR's are bred to die young? I never heard that before.![]()
