You are likely to get a better response if you give some general information of your location. I suspect you are American. I'm in Australia so no help to you unless you too are living in Australia. I would also post in Chicken breeders & Hatcheries rather than a general chat thread.

I must let the tribe out to free range today. That means I have to check the entire parameter of my property first. Bob is correct. My pain is more than a loss of Emma. A lesson I've learned today:

Just because is it like 70° and beautiful out, and you've got a brand new pedicure so you don't want to switch into shoes...well these are not good reasons to go into your chicken yard wearing flip flops.

The babies all were entranced by my painted toenails and did not gently tell me.

I could have warned you! Haha!
I wore red fingernails to the coop. Bad memory!
