It is likely that she is. They will need time to mourn as well. Seems like she could use a hug. Her are out after all. Here is Diana’s mug for Monday. She has her wings out ‘cos it is getting hot again.
She seems to have mellowed a bit since losing Elizabeth. Maybe she is still in mourning.

I would expect she is coming to the end of laying. Lilly's eggs at 6+ years of age are downright odd looking when she lays one.I noticed today, that my Hen-Rietta’s eggs, are getting longer at the tapered end. 5+ years old Leghorn (is it normal?) should I be concerned?
As of today, all the chooks, are happy and healthy. Chaco is doing quite well too. (She’s such a mild mannered horse)
Doesn’t matter if she ends her egg laying days. I just don’t want to loose her. She’s been my friend for many years now.I would expect she is coming to the end of laying. Lilly's eggs at 6+ years of age are downright or looking when she lays one.
She got something she values way more than a hug which is leftover hamburger and thinly sliced tomato. I sat with her while she tucked in. Everyone got some but I think she got the lion share. It is likely that she is. They will need time to mourn as well. Seems like she could use a hug. Her are out after all.![]()
I'm surprised no-one tried to sit with that many eggs stashed!19! Ten of which were Edwina's.
And here's me complaining that they weren't laying....![]()

The book I got on hatching eggs and raising chicks in fourth grade said that eggs get more misshapen with age if I recall.I noticed today, that my Hen-Rietta’s eggs, are getting longer at the tapered end. 5+ years old Leghorn (is it normal?) should I be concerned?
