Fluffy
Laid an egg this morning! Yay! But it has a chalky outer texture which I am worried could be a sign of weak shell, so today she will also be getting calcium at night along with the list of others I am giving calcium to.

Thinking I just might give all those silkies calcium from now on till I am sure I have all the eggs I need.

In other News, poor Mr P is being ravaged by those hens, they have turned their attention to his tail feathers now. I have no choice now, I need to separate him for sure at night. And maybe during the day.

yay! Hopefully she stays that way, Tippy is going broody here, I told her noooo! Wait a few weeks so that she can take on those school chicks.


Fried bologna - we call that Newfy steaks you have to cut a line through the slice of bologna (from centre to outside edge) when frying it so it stays flat in the pan otherwise the casing shrinks and makes it go all bowl shaped (some trivia) no bologny.


Will you do a theme for names? Like all letter M or all flower names, I like the idea of aeronautical names

Went to check on them and found Philomena died in the top.
This was @notabitail 's chicken from the chickens I take care of.
Looked like she fell off the perch well sleeping. She was right by the perch.
