You are right I should not. If I do not try to help them I feel guilty which I should also not have to feel. These boys are also a liability to myself and my flock. With them being turned loose and not able to catch them all I can do is pray they are healthy and do not bring a disease into my own flock. Also I am the only person in my subdivision who has chickens and roosters. Both are allowed. I have kept a strict policy of no ill behaved boys, kept the number of boys down so no constant crowing. Well, now there are 2 boys who I have no back story on. I have no clue if they have ever shown human aggression in the past. If they do go after someone guess who the angry neighbor will come after? You guessed it, me. The neighbors are aware that they are cast offs, not boys I bought. They take up permanent residence in my yard with my flock though well, they do something stupid the consequences fall on me. I will try to help them as long as I can. They put my flock in danger or anger the neighbors my hands will be tied. You should not have to take responsibility for others irresponsibility. You need to manage your chickens to your plans. Hopefully for their sake you can help them out. But if you can't that's a hard fact of life.
