This is the new water can I bought that was supposed too be the best. It sticks and you can't refill it. I managed to open it after a week but its now stuck again

I explained all this and the fact that my coop needs a hanging waterer. I purchased this with the hanging hook and rope, not cheap.

All this came as I became ill and Princess was on antibiotics.

They sent another that will only go on the floor. So it looks as if I will have to find another supplier, which I am sad about because I have been using this supplier for a long time and even bought food for a rescue from them. How disappointing it all is.

I used electrical tape and made a handle on my waterer, if you have some duct tape or other heavy duty adhesive tape you can do the same thing.

I used bale twine but any heavy duty twine will do.

How do you get it to hang straight so the water doesn’t leak out?

It’s just the bale string - I don’t hang mine up, I use it for carrying them, but it would be easy to just tilt it till was level of hanging on a hook.

I had issues carrying them and got fed up getting wet hands so I did that.

I also did it with the small chick waterer. But I cut the string off incase a chick got stuck in it. I should redo it I hate tipping it and getting my hands wet.

Went and got a load of straw today, the chooks had a blast helping me pile it all…

It’s not particularly cold but that east wind is raw and I was happy to warm up after loading the truck at the farmers place.

I am going to bring horses in early and head to the house warm up with a cuppa hot tea and rest my tendinitis in my right elbow.

Meanwhile the girls are driving me nuts with pecking at Mr P

And I have no idea what on earth happened to poor Flopsy - and I think her beak has a crack on one side. It looked Ms like she has had a nose bleed! And she has a scrape on her comb.

Sheesh ! Never a dull moment.

Got it. I think Marie wants to hang hers and I thought you had converted one to hanging. I tried doing so and failed because even a tiny bit off and it dribbles out.
