This plan is pretty basic and easy to follow. There is a parts/lumber list and a detailed description of assembly and mounting. The only real negative lies in the bolded font style used for the article. While it looks nice, it is difficult to read in its' current format.

I LOVE this little coop! The article is well written, with good step-by-step instructions and many diagrams and photographs of the actual build. I wonder how Father's Day went ...

What a nice little article! Some common sense reminders mixed with good advice ... with some make-you-smile "chickens&kids" pics to boot!

This article has everything you need to know. There are plan diagrams, instructions, even a well edited video... and the coop is beautiful! Very, very nicely done!

This is a neat way to adapt a kit-coop. Some instructions on what was done and maybe some pics of inside the shed coop would be helpful

This is a really good article. The instructions are pretty clear and the photographs very helpful. Descriptions on how reclaimed materials were used and adapted are a great bonus. Well done!

This is a nice set-up. The run-within-the-run is a good idea. I would like to see a wider angle picture of that particular system. A few structural details would help, but would likely be difficult to get at this late a date. Maybe with your new, bigger coop build? Please?

This is a wonderful article documenting the recovery and upcycling of many discarded pieces into a single, functional, and dare I say, pretty, little coop. Well done, ladies!

This is a great descriptive article, but there really isn't anything on the build. Including the process pictures from your website link would be a big help. Your ideas and creativity are wonderful. Please give some pointers on how to do some of this, so others can follow in your imaginative footsteps!
The only questions I have about the actual coop concern ventilation and natural light, both of which look like they could use a predator-proof boost.

This is a nice little coop and article! Everything is well explained, right down to cleaning. Now that you've had it awhile, it would be nice to know how it's worked out for you and your girls. Do you have any predator issues with the chicken wire?
Oh - and the painted roof shakes are a really nice touch. I likes!

Thank you! We have never had any predator problems, it's worked really well and the girls seem to like running around in the run. I like the painted roof shakes too but the paint comes off after a year so we have to repaint it often. Thank you again!

LOVE the reused fencing! This would be great in an area with high predator problems. And the picture window in the fence? Perfect! With all that in mind, there isn't a great deal of "how-to" instruction, but the concept is clearly illustrated through photographs, so it's not really needed. The notes on what didn't work and how the problems were corrected are a big bonus. Thank you for a well-written article and a peek at your beautiful chicken fort!

This is a really well thought out design! The ten-minute cleaning process should appeal to everyone, but I especially like the pull-out "sectional" nest boxes. You may want to put a picture of the finished coop in the article section, with a note to check the gallery for more pictures, as they are easy to miss, otherwise. VERY nice job on this coop!

Great descriptions, especially of the awesome predator proofing. I LOVE the idea of a wind chime on the gate. That'll be my own next fortification, now! I would like to see a few pics from inside the run, mainly because it's hard to see past all the wiring.

I saw this article earlier and wish I had reviewed it, then. I remember it distinctly because my own coop is a redone playhouse, as well. This was a really cute idea. Please try to get the pictures back!

There isn't much in the way of written description, but the photographs more than make up for the lack. There is a very good build diagram, as well. The best part, however, is the unique run. I would never have thought to use a trailer cage, but it's a perfect fit and style for this coop. Very Cool!

This is a very unusual situation that not many will come across, but it does present an interesting problem ... and solution! Isn't it funny how first impressions came back around full circle? Just shows how the brilliant mind of a good chicken-keeper shines through!

This was a smartly planned addition to an existing coop and run. Since it is so close to a natural swamp area, it would be interesting to see what predator precautions were taken beyond the heavier gauge wire (smart move.) One recommendation I would make is not to permanently join the two runs by cutting down wire. A doorway or panel that could be opened or closed as needed would allow for closing off either side in the future, should the need arise.

I know nothing about the dynamics of sound beyond what I get from my stereo system. I know nothing about the dynamics of a rooster's crow other than that they're LOUD (And I have a BBR/OEGB just like Miracle.) I DO know about graphing and meters and meteorology. But none of that prepared me for this article. I don't know what else to say about this article except that you need to read it. There won't be many people "in between" on this one. They'll either "get it" or get lost ... and if you're someone who "gets it," it's REALLY cool!

This is a nice little coop for an open-air free-range set-up. It presents well from the outside. Some interior pics and a few notes on how you built a wooden coop on a metal frame would make this a very informative article!

I love the idea of starting with a solidly built shed and designing from there. All of the major issues are already taken care of - leaks, predator proofing, windows. Nice job!
