I need a new hen. This one seems to be falling apart View attachment 3696410

2 weeks my friend, give it 2 weeks. She seems to be growing in those feathers as fast as she is loosing them. She will be a new girl by Christmas.

First outing

Babies were out and about a bit, Marty came out and picked a fight with Henny - I had to break it up in case babies were hurt.

The chickie-loos were digging and scratching about, but once they started getting chilly (even under mama) I herded them back into the feedroom and popped them back in their crate. They will soon figure out hopping up into the feedroom, and everything else as @bgmathteach stated haha!

Free to any home at the moment. Big 9 year old neutered hunter. If you take him I hope you like LIVE presents being brought inside the house to be killed and partially eaten at a later date. Last night he managed to sneak in with a ground mole and let it loose in the laundry room. This morning he caught it again and killed it and ate 2/3rds of it. The lovely guts were left in the dining room for a unsuspecting person to step on. Me, I was that person.

Joking about the rehoming part, although right now I could be tempted.

I was trying to figure out how to talk Mrs BY Bob into it. And then what would my 3 think of him.

I think her bum will be covered again in another 2 or 3 days. I will relax then. But I suspect a couple of weeks and she will be gorgeous again. She may beat Christmas. I sure hope she is quick. The weather can turn nasty at any moment.
