Yeah! Apparently they usually do it with poop, and it's usually very quiet.I have picked up chickens and had those noisy toots, but usually accompanied by poop also!

Did someone say Calypso? The Polishes are getting so big! They are starting to get their feather quills, and they have little quills on their topknots! My mom is going to gmail Meyers hatchery and tell them that Aphrodite is not a Polish, and that we are wondering what she is. My mom and I got pictures of Aphrodite and a chick that I’m calling “Big Chick” because she has the biggest topknot- and she’s the biggest chick. They are so cute, but my gosh they are flighty.
In all of these pictures it looks like I was squeezing them really tight, but I swear that I wasn’t.

Big Chick flew onto my shoulder. I’m not sure which goddess I’m going to name her after yet. Maybe Calypso?

Calypso was screaming in Aphrodite’s ear. You can see Calypso’s quills coming in

Aphrodite was posing for the camera and Calypso gave me a good crow of the back of her head. Look at how big her topknot isAlso, Aphrodite’s comb is growing so much.

They are still so tiny but they are so cute and they are growing so much. Each day they get a little bit bigger.

The lighting isn’t very good in this picture because of my shadow, but Aphrodite is much lighter than Calypso.

EarthmoverOh! Congratulations!

Chicken Crater Acres?
Dirty Bird Earthworks?
Oh, yeah I did see the X-rays. I find all of this stuff so cool. When Ridges was at the vet, I found everything so interesting. I was almost bouncing with joy when they took her temperature. It was just to cool. I’m sure I’ve said this before, but I have always wanted to be an orthopedic veterinarian. I’ve just always found the thought of helping animals to be amazing.Petunia a couple weeks ago when she was not well, I figured she was egg bound - still do. But a course of antibiotics and some worming and she was feeling better.
Did you see the X-rays I posted ? Very interesting - not as interesting as ManueB’s actually showing an egg on her hen, but still interesting.
I know you’ve said it before, but what type of chook is she? I love her feathers so much
Calypso is an Ameraucana. I believe a pure bred one as she come from a breeder who specializes in the breed.I know you’ve said it before, but what type of chook is she? I love her feathers so muchand her face is so sweet!
