Nope. Not until very near the end.

She was a very opinionated hen and she loved to go deep into the long grass to find things. The way I see it, she got two more summers of safari in the long grass.

I did some excavation in my email in box and I found a receipt for enrofloxacin dated a day or so after Maggie's vet appointment where I took her back home and rejected the offer of euthanasia. So I think it is likely that I did treat her the first time with Baytril (=Enrofloxacin).

I had also forgotten Maggie had hardware disease as a complicating factor. She had eaten a couple of screws and a washer!
I remember that ! It was when I first came on FBA 😊💕

And my dad once told me: “the definition of a horse show is, a bunch of horses showing their azzes to a bunch of horses azzes, showing their horses! :tongue
I enjoyed the social aspect, but then it became very political and the snobbery was ridiculous. I do not miss it at all.

Mr P yesterday - he had to sit facing into the wind as his tail kept getting him toppled over haha

Yup, that’s a Labrador Retriever in his glory! Even if the water’s only six inches deep and one foot wide. I like how he cleared out the dead grass to get a better assessment of the situation in there. Any chance you can take him to some real water in the summer? ❤️
That's the plan. Going to work on getting him IN it....probably have to put myself in it, but.....

I remember that ! It was when I first came on FBA 😊💕
I miss that girl. She was my buddy.
She really loved the long grass. I remember she was always leading expeditions into the undergrowth!
But she always ran out to come tell me all the latest news and gossip.

Bad weather has caused some damage to the outdoor runs, ice build up has put stress on the metal frames, and look at how thick that ice is.

Also Hazel seems just a bit off, nothing to put a finger on though.

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

Look at these adorable chicks CB saw at the local feed store! And what a novel housing complex for the chicks.

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

Bob gave some suggestions for slowing down egg production to try to get a shells to form on the egg, seems Ponypoor’s Petunia is still laying soft eggs.

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

Her pullet Pip is also laying soft eggs - what’s with all these pullets laying soft eggs?

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

A conversation started up on the use of Thyroxine (thyroid meds) to improve egg shell quality - and down the rabbit hole she went investing that.

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

And an article that was found refuting thyroxin as being of any use.

Rebecca popped in to give an update on her grandma, who is now in a coma, the family continues to care for her as she makes her journey from this life.

Poppet the Silkie princess has been free ranging with the big girls and thriving - still no egg though!

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

And isn’t Poppet adorable ❤️

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

Is she or isn’t she Branch’s girl?

Post in thread 'Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock'

Seems Poppet is a bit of a tyrant and has chased the poor moggy, Keeper up a tree.

And in other news Rebecca’s grandma is still with her, please continue with thoughts and prayers for her Grandmas quiet passing.

You’re amazing, how good of you to look into those emails for us.
