It’s a little bit colder, but not as hot in the summer. And I would be closer to the larger cities, if I needed that.Is it colder up there?
Hope your plans work out for you![]()

When I first had the first crazy Roos (long ago) and got rid of them, the hens were wandering around looking for them that day, then next day they were all so happy, wandering around happily cooing and chuckling so happy. Scratching around, not hiding, having a good time. No drama…. Best thing ever getting rid of them, when I got Mr P I was terrified he would be a jerk, but he was such a lovely boy.I think Eenie’s injury was partly Manny's doing. She seemed really afraid of him. I don't free range and don't really need a rooster. When I got them I thought Manny was a pullet.
Tres is a cockrell. I'm hoping that the older ladies will put him in his place. But I do think I'm going to end up rehoming him.
Checked Eenie out thoroughly. She has a huge scab, but she seems okay. She's molting like CRAZY. Poor girl. When I caught her it took a second to get her settled and honestly I thought I'd done something horrible! There were so many feathers flying everywhere it looked like I'd emptied a down pillow.
The others seem really kinda freaked out by Manny's absence. I'm sure it'll be interesting to watch the flock dynamics change. I think I'll give it a couple more days before I put them back together.
HAHAHAHAHA!We tried keeping Cesario in a little man cave that I set up, hoping that it would help his leg/foot problem.
For some reason, when I released him from his crate after a few days, I started to get fewer eggs.
I now know why!

@Marie2020
We all grieve Tina. She had been very unwell on Sunday, and passed Monday morning. Marie had just been wondering about her future with the girls, whether or not to take more chickens, or maybe let them at a wonderful place for rescues she has discovered.
So she was very worried about Princess and everyone on FBA tried to reassure her.

Fly high, Granite and Quartz. You certainly both made the most of your short lives.
Some good news : Twirp has been found. After spending some time in the house with Whiskey as a companion , she chose to be with the chickens.
