Whew this is a busy thread! @Ponypoor how do you keep up with this and our "byc underground"?

I spend at lot of time at night with my restless leg syndrome keeping me up - if I stimulate my brain with something (tv, reading, talking) the leg spasms stop. Of course then I am seriously sleep deprived.

Tonight I hope to sleep well

Also I do jump around a lot back and forth, so if I see something I missed I’ll check it out, like Éowyn being stealthy in bobs video and the skunk visitor

Who lays those really dark eggs? And I love those terra cotta coloured metal ones too

The really dark olive/khaki colored ones are Tassels. Aren’t they magnificent? I love them. She lays really thick shells - very hard to crack in the kitchen counter.

I put chia seeds on Max's feed. Ordered on line for 25lbs and 50-75 dollars. It keeps things moving in times of stress and prevents colic. We haven't had any issues since starting it, and it has healthy fats too. They only need 1/4 cup per day, but on bad weather days, I use 1/2 cup. It lasts a long time.

Interesting I have never seen it here.

Can chickens also eat it? Healthy fats t make shiny feathers. I much look this up.

She is a Marans Ameraucana cross. The guy is an Ameraucana breeder so it is not an EE parent but an Ameraucana parent. So that makes her an Easter Egger effectively - specifically an Olive Egger.
Calypso is an Ameraucana.
